Do you hold stock in the UK, or does this come from overseas?
Stock sits in the UK and orders are picked and posted from here. We dispatch within 1 working day and UK delivery normally takes 2–4 working days after that, which is the difference between a tracker on your keys this week and a parcel you are still waiting on next month. Returns come back to a UK address as well, so there is no international postage to pay if you change your mind.
Will a Beacon Tag work with my Android phone?
No. The tag registers on the Apple Find My network, which needs an iPhone or iPad running iOS 14.5 or later and signed in to iCloud. There is no Android app, no partial support and no way around it. If you are buying this as a gift, check which phone the person carries before you order — it is the single most common reason a tag comes back to us.
How small is it, and will it sit flat in a wallet?
It is 36.3 mm square and 9 mm thick, and weighs about 10 g. That is smaller than a £2 coin across and roughly the thickness of three of them stacked, so it drops into a handbag or a rucksack pocket without being noticed. In a slim card wallet you will feel it. In a folded leather wallet or a bag it disappears.
When do you post it, and is delivery genuinely free?
Genuinely free, to any UK address, on any order size — there is no minimum spend and no surcharge added at checkout or at the door. Orders are dispatched within 1 working day and usually arrive 2–4 working days later by Royal Mail. Ordering several boxes does not change the postage, because there is none to change.
Is there anything left to pay once I have bought it?
No. There is no companion app to buy, no account to create, no free trial that becomes a subscription and no monthly fee. The Apple Find My network that does the locating is Apple’s to run and costs you nothing to use. The only future expense is a CR2032 coin cell, a couple of pounds, roughly every two years.
Can I hear it through a closed drawer or a coat pocket?
Yes, and that is the case the tag handles best. Tapping Play Sound in Find My rings it at 80–100 dB from up to 60 m / 200 ft away, which carries through a sofa cushion, a laundry pile, a coat and a shut drawer. Most things people lose are inside the house, and this is how most of them get found.
What happens if I leave the tagged bag on a train?
Once the bag is out of Bluetooth range the Apple Find My network takes over. Any passing iPhone quietly reports the tag’s position back to your Apple Account, so the map keeps updating without you contacting anybody and without whoever is near it installing anything. It works wherever Apple devices are common, which across the UK is essentially everywhere. You can also switch on Lost Mode so a finder can reach you without seeing your number.
What battery does it take, and is one already fitted?
A CR2032 coin cell — the flat one that runs car key fobs and kitchen scales, sold in every supermarket and pharmacy. One is already fitted in each tag and lasts up to 2 years. There are no spares in the box: you get 2 Beacon Tag trackers, 2 key rings and a setup guide, and that is the complete list.
Could someone hide one of these on me to follow me about?
Apple built the defence for that into the network itself and these tags are covered by it. If an unknown tag travels with you for a while, your iPhone warns you and can make the tag ring so you can find it. Location data is end-to-end encrypted through Apple Find My, so only the owner’s Apple Account can read it — not us, and not the manufacturer.
How do I send it back if it turns out not to suit me?
Email hello@bluetoothtracker.co.uk within 30 days of it arriving and we will tell you where to post it. You get a full refund once it reaches us, and you do not have to give a reason.
