Who you are buying the Beacon Tag from

Bluetooth Tracker UK is a small British shop with a short catalogue: the Beacon Tag, and nothing else. This page sets out who runs it, where the stock is kept, what the tracker will not do, and how to reach somebody when you need to.

The company that takes the payment

The shop trades as Bluetooth Tracker UK. The company behind it is BH Commerce Ltd, registered in England and Wales, with its registered office in Manchester; those details sit at the foot of this page. It is a very small business rather than a call centre, and the people who write these pages are the people who pack the boxes.

That size decides what we are willing to promise. There is no courier fleet of our own and no switchboard. What there is instead is a short chain: stock on a shelf here, an order picked off it, a parcel handed to Royal Mail, and an inbox read by the same hands.

Where the stock actually sits

Every Beacon Tag we sell is already in the country before you order it. The tags are imported in bulk, checked, and held here in the UK. They are not manufactured in Britain and we do not suggest otherwise. Nothing is drop-shipped either: no order is forwarded to a warehouse overseas to be posted straight to your door on our behalf.

The difference shows up at that door. A parcel that starts abroad can take weeks and arrive with a customs bill attached. Yours is picked, packed and posted from a UK address by Royal Mail, so there is no import duty to settle and no card left on the mat.

The specification comes before the adjectives

This shop publishes the measurements rather than describing them. How wide the tag is, what it weighs, how far its alarm carries, how loud it goes, what it is sealed against and how long a coin cell lasts in it are all set out in the specification table on the home page, in units you can check against anything else on the market.

The awkward lines stay in that table alongside the good ones. There is no precision arrow to walk you across the last few paces of a room, no spare cells are supplied, and the tag is sold in black and no other colour. A specification listing only the flattering figures would not be worth publishing.

Why there is no Android version, and never will be

The Beacon Tag finds things by registering on Apple’s Find My network. Passing Apple devices quietly report its position back to your Apple Account, and that crowd is where the range and the accuracy come from — far more than Bluetooth alone could manage. The network belongs to Apple, and Apple runs it for Apple hardware.

So the tag needs an iPhone or an iPad signed in to iCloud. There is no Android app, none is being written and none is coming. If the phone in the pocket runs Android, this is the wrong purchase and we would rather you closed the tab than opened a refund. Bluetooth Tracker UK is an independent retailer with no affiliation to Apple; Find My and AirTag are Apple’s marks.

Getting it to you, and getting it back

Orders leave UK stock by Royal Mail with the postage paid by us, whatever the size of the order. The dispatch time, the delivery time and the window you have to change your mind are published on the Shipping & Returns page rather than paraphrased here, because that is the page kept up to date when they change.

The promise behind those figures is short. If the pack arrives and it is not what you wanted, send it back inside the published window for your money back, with no reason asked for and no restocking charge deducted. If it arrives faulty, that is ours to put right rather than yours to argue about, and consumer law sits above anything written here.

The inbox is read by a person

A message sent through the contact page lands in an inbox a person reads on working days, and the reply comes from the same small group who pick and pack the orders. Ask before you buy if a line of the specification is unclear, and ask afterwards if a tag will not pair or a parcel has not turned up. Answering honestly costs everybody less than a return does.
